Chappell Sports Cars is proud to sponsor Charles Rodmell's run of the London Marathon 2012, a real challenge in terms of both training and the event itself, especially since he has never run more than 6 miles before! Charles is raising money for WPF therapy, which seeks to provide affordable counselling or psychotherapy for people cannot find suitable NHS provision. The charity provides a wide range of counselling including CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) on a sliding scale depending on income as well as a wide range of accredited training programmes.
So it's time for another competition and this one is for all you social networkers out there.
You have probably noticed that on our stock pages we have a "Facebook Like" button next to the car. So, if you have a Facebook account, what we'd like you to do is scan through our Stock List and find your favourite car.
Then visit the cars page and click on the Like button - simple as that! Drop us an eMail telling us which car you liked and we'll then enter you in the competition to win a fantastic Sony digital camera!

Some of you keen Porsche enthusiasts may have spotted an article featuring Kier Chappell in the July edition of Total 911. Have a look at page 92 if you want to know what motivates our director, and what music he likes to listen to behind the wheel!
The magazine also spotlighted one of our cars, a 2003 996 Carrera 2 Coupe, in their Porsche of the month column, describing it as "a 911 that's worth having".
The Times recently wrote a feature on cars which represent a good investment. A reader contacted the editors asking which cars would significantly increase in value over the next 10 to 20 years.
Top of the list was the 996 turbo with early examples selling for as little as £20,000 - £25000, but your money is better spent if you can manage a little more to get a later & lower mileage example.
The previous model, the 993 Turbo are currently changing hands for £45,000 and up making the later 996 turbo incredible value for money.
107 Shape Mercedes SL's were also mentioned for their good build quality and increasing values. Just as well as we currently have two in stock.

Well the week of the Goodwood Festival of Speed is upon us. We've recently unveiled some new advertising banners on the A27 in Chichester and have moved our stock outside to celebrate the beautiful weather - so please pop in for a coffee if you are passing!
This week we have also put some recent Testimonials up onto the website. We are incredibly proud of our approach to selling cars here and the feedback from customers has been fantastic. It really endorses our efforts to turn car sales into a pleasant experience built around trust and honesty.
It's only two weeks now until one of the UK's most prestigious and unique motorsport events... the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
This four day event starts with a very special motorshow - where you can view a selection of cars from top manufacturers then drive them up the iconic Goodwood Hill. Then on the following three days there are many spectacular things to see from F1 cars, supercars, priceless classics, air displays, rally stages and so much more.
Even if you're not into the cars then there is so much else to do including enjoying a nice glass of champagne in front of the live music stages.
No other event combines such a diverse and authentic collection of cars and motorbikes with a star-studded line-up of drivers in one place.

If your passing Chappell Sports Cars over the next few days then do pop in a have a look at the stunning Porsche 993 GT2 in our showroom. This exotic machine was made in tiny numbers and not to be confused with the road version, this is a track bred supercar which had some great names behind its wheel over the last 14 years

After much speculation Porsche has revealed a limited edition 911 GT3 RS 4.0. As the name suggests the car will get a bigger engine with an output of 500 bhp and 339lb of torque.
In addition to the engine modifications, Porsche has shaved the weight down to a sprightly 1360Kg which translates into 0-60 mph in under 4 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph.
If you want one then you will have to be quick as just 600 will be made!
Porsche will be opening the books from July and expect to pay £128,500 for this new flagship racer.

It was foggy and damp and I was thinking I would be the only one at Goodwood at 8am on a Sunday morning.
How wrong was I, As we neared the entrance to the motor circuit the traffic just ground to a halt and we joined a queue with probably 200 convertibles other convertibles.
Fortunatley Sam and I were in and 1988 Mercedes-Benz 420 SL so we didn't look out of place.
The circuit it's self was packed, there must have been over 2,000 people there all before 9.30 in the morning with some amazing cars.
The Goodwood breakfast club takes place every last sunday of the month and best of all entrance is free!
I you love cars then you must go as it is event not to be missed.
If you like the idea of a classic 911 owned by a notorious petrol head then read on. The 1971 Film Le Mans featured a Porsche 911S for the first 5 minutes of the film.
The Starring role, Steve McQueen liked it so much he decided to add it to his already extensive collection of sports cars.
Interested? It's going up for grab's at RM's annual Monterey sale in the U.S.A. And should expect to get alot of attention.
Finally Porsche have released the much anticapted Cayman R. A much more focused example of the popular Cayman. The R differs from standard S by producing 10 bhp and weighing 55kg less.
Its not just about power and weight saving, Porsche have revised the suspension and aerodynamics to ensure the car lives up to expecations.
We can't wait to get behind of the wheel limted edition racer, we'll let you know when we do!
